Week 1:

On 3rd Oct ,our teacher introduced us to the magazine brief, it sounds interesting as I enjoy looking at magazines.

I learned about magazine terminologies. It sounds super boring as I need to include each and every terminology in my magazines. Studying the terminologies itself takes quite sometimes for me to memorised it but thankfully because of Mr. Nick keeps on repeating it in class. I'm able to memorise it fast enough.

Week 2:

On Friday the 13th October we did a magazine analysis cover. I started researching magazines and some populars ones. There isn't much option that I have and I end up with an architecture magazine that my dad already has. has since 2012 I went and look up and search for the most detailed magazine, I got one but it has not much text like the one in fashion magazine I continued my research scrolling through some people analysis on magazines cover. I also learned about the representation theory Stuart Hall, how meaning is not reflected in the media. I end up using an architectural magazine as I don't have any fashion magazines at home so I wanted to have more resources to develop a good magazine.

Week 3:

On Monday I decided what genre of magazine I'm going to be doing, then this week I did some research on the magazine's cover for the architectural genre. Thursday we made a review for our semestral exams about Stuart Hall representation . Stuart Hall suggested that media texts contain a variety of messages that are encoded by producers and decoded by audiences. This week is so hard, because I have a business test, maths quiz and test so it's very hard to manage my time for media. I found it difficult to research for an architectural genre there isn't much that I could find but hopefully I can find more in the future.

week 4:

we studied on the new media on Monday and on Thursday we did partner task about the queen gambit and analyse the big 4 ideas about it, and this week my class discussed about the genre theory by Steve Neale that is described with similarities of media texts so they can be recognised as a particular genre but different enough to be new and original. I think that this topic will impact most on my project as I want to make my magazine unique to attract more customers, and this helps me understand more about the differences in existing magazines and my magazine to help stand out the best and sell out the most.

week 5: sick, absent.

week 6:

For this week we had a lesson about traditional media and how media had converged. I also wrote my first media draft of my article for the double page spread. Mr Nick helps us on getting our mind as an author as well as finding the tone that we want to use.

problems for this week is that there is too much things that I want to do and I can't keep my mind on one thing only at media class I spend most of the times to search on what I want to do and it take the whole media lesson for me to figure it out while my friends has already started on with their work.

The solution is that I make it into homework and finish everything at home.

to do list: continue finishing my article.

week 7:

checklist making sure that the blog post is completed. We also have homework on Thursday to complete all blog posts and Mr Nick gives us a checklist to do and the checklists are needed to be completed by Thursdays. But there aren't many new things to learn since it's already the end of the semester. We're having a 1 month break from school which I'll be using the time to read more magazines and explore more media language and studies to achieve the best result.
